Open Question: Spilled lemonaide on DVR?
My dog managed to knock over a tray with some lemonaide on it and the entire cup spilled onto my DVR ( Cox ) and into the holes ontop. I was able to unplug it in about a minute or less and when I tipped it back a good amount of liquid came out. I let it sit for two days, plugged it in, nothing. Tried again the next day, and the next. Now its the third day and the screen stays blank and doesn`t turn on when I plug it in, though the plug sparks a little when I plug it in so i`m wary to try again.
Can this be fixed or should I get another? I don`t really have money for a costly replacement right now.
Open Question: This is just a joke i am not a racist?
Ahmed and Hamid are both beggars at several service stations in England.
Ahmed drives a Mercedes, lives in a mortgage free house, his wife has lots of jewellery and Ahmed always has a lot of money to spend.
Hamid and his family live in a small council flat and are always broke.
Hamid only brings in 2 to 3 pounds a day from his begging while Ahmed manages to bring home a suitcase full of £10 notes every day.
Hamid asks Ahmed how he manages to do so much better with his begging. Ahmed says, ‘Look at your sign. It says, ‘I have no work, a wife and six kids to support.’ Britons who see that do not feel as if they will accomplish anything by giving you money. You will still have no job and a large family. Now look at my sign.’
So Hamid looks at Ahmed ’s sign which reads: ‘I only need another £10 to move back to Pakistan ‘
Open Question: Ebay whiz, how do expensive things gets sold? When they seem to end without buyers round after round?
This might be a really stupid questions but I notice a lot sellers are selling computer components at retail price (which is generally much higher than what an eBay auction will end with). Obviously no one wants to pay extra money for something they can get for nearly half of the price. The goods keeps getting re-listed every round. I also finds it funny that people who sell them are actually power sellers. Just wandering why won’t they just reduce the price, how do the goods get sold? How do they manage to get so many feedbacks when no one buys things from them.
