Open Question: Advise on moving out. read details?
I have a spreadsheet that I have been working on, and am re-making, On this spreadsheet, it is showing my finances. I want to budget everything and get an idea of how much money I will have when I move out, so that I can get an idea of how much money I am going to have for what.

things I am incorperating into my sheet are:
Part One: money I have before I turn 18. spending very little. I am working an average of 2 days a week for what I am assuming is minimum wage (I haven’t been told yet, I just like working, it’s at least $8.40/hour). also, this money will be in my savings account with an interest rate of 2% comounded monthly. before I turn 18, I will be recieving $628, and about $100 flat every 2 weeks for baby sitting my 3 year old brother.

After I turn 18, (May 30) I will have 1 month (most likely) of cheap rent (maybe $200). then after I graduate (2010) I need to incorporate rent, buy a car, car insurance, tv satillite bill, landline phone bill, cell (which for me is very cheap) internet, buy a computer, I will be changing over to a job that has room for promotion, I will be becoming a foster parent, have to budget for food, and then figure out what furniture is most impotant to get and when.
THEN when september comes around, I will be starting university to study to become a child psychiatrist. what sort of amounts can I ‘average’ and when will those amounts change, by how much? any advise and suggestions are helpful! thanks!

Resolved Question: Help with Excel, please. I forgot how to put in equations…?
Okay, so like 12 years ago, I took a class on how to use Microsoft Excel, but I guess I didn’t really pay attention, cause now I have no idea how to put in equations…
I have a spreadsheet, for wedding budgets, and I have a list of budgets, and next to it a list of the actual spending…
I want to be able to subtract the “actual spent” amounts from the sub-budgets I had previously set up, so I can see where I have gone over budget, and where I can cut more corners to stay in the budget….
I know I can do this manually, but I figured this is exactly what this program was made for, right?
So, can someone give me a quick “crash course” on how to do this on Excel.
I really appreciate the help!
I got it!!!!!
Guys, thanks so much for your help!!!!
And I am already headed toward being way over budget… Darn!
Thanks for the help and good wishes!
